Food at the frontlines of conflict and disaster (webinar)

Join us for the Goodermote Humanitarian Award that will be presented to José Andrés and his World Central Kitchen for their work using food to empower communities and strengthen economies; they know that food is a powerful tool to heal people in times of crisis and beyond. Eva Leidman, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health will be honored for her academic achievements in the field of nutrition and food security. José will join Paul Spiegel, Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Humanitarian Health, to discuss the importance of education and research to deliver effective humanitarian assistance for organizations like World Central Kitchen in times of conflict and disaster. The discussion will be moderated by Soledad O’Brien.
